Cyber Threats and Insurance: A Discussion with the Experts in the Trenches

Cyber threats are increasingly impacting businesses regardless of size or industry.  While hacks at large organizations receive most of the publicity, small businesses are equally targeted.  According to the Verizon 2018 Data Breach Investigation Report, 58% of cyber attack victims are small business.  Managing your risk is important to protect you and your business. But where do you start?

During the month of August, we participated in a series of initiatives with The Freelance Bookkeeper to help raise general awareness, emphasize the need for education and weigh in on the insurance solutions.  Together with David Trevey, a defense attorney at Kinkead & Stilz, we held a 47-minute discussion to take an insurance centric approach, specifically the overlap between professional liability and cyber liability.
